Under the leadership of Senior Research Fellows John Carmody and Bob Close, with the aid of Joseph Hang, Bruce Jacobson, and graduate students, the MDC developed design guidelines for the Destination Medical Center district in Rochester, Minnesota. The guidelines support the goals of creating a healthy, sustainable, economically thriving city with a vibrant public realm. The guidelines have been embraced by the city and are being implemented in evaluating projects within the district.
