The Letterpress Lab is a design resource for students enrolled in typography classes at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. It features nine-cylinder and platten presses as well as 19 cabinets of metal and wood type. The typefaces included in the collection contain over 100 different historically significant styles with design influences that span from early Rome to advertising scripts of the mid-20th century.

Surface Design Studio

The Surface Design Studio is a design production and making resource for students enrolled in surface design classes, independent study, print production courses, and workshops. The studio can be used to screenprint on paper and fabric and includes a screen coating area, washout area, exposure unit, fixed screen print stations for printing on paper, and print tables.
