Wellbeing Resources
Employee Assistance Program
The College of Design is committed to supporting the mental health of its faculty and staff. The University of Minnesota Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides confidential professional consultation and referral services to address any personal or work concern that may be affecting your wellbeing. You can receive up to eight sessions at no cost if eligible. EAP is available to all benefits-eligible employees on all system campuses. Spouses and dependent children are also eligible for EAP services.
Mental Health Resources
All University of Minnesota mental health support resources can be found at mentalhealth.umn.edu, a comprehensive central hub that contains helpful information for all College of Design and University community members.
College of Design Mental Health Advocates
The College of Design Mental Health Advocates (MHA) are not counselors. MHAs are trained to identify and respond to students in distress, and refer them to possible resources. MHAs focus on mental health concerns of students but are available to talk with faculty and staff.
The Wellbeing Program
The University Wellbeing Program exists to provide open, flexible, customizable ways to help employees live balanced, fulfilling lives based on their own goals and needs. This approach is centered on eight dimensions of wellbeing: physical, emotional, intellectual, environmental, spiritual, social, occupational, and financial. Additionally, you can earn points by participating in the Wellbeing Program to earn substantial savings on your medical plan rates.
