Her firm, Andrea Cochran Landscape Architecture, based in San Francisco, was founded in 1998. Cochran recently was honored as one of the Landscape Design Award finalists in the Cooper-Hewitt 2010 National Design Awards.
Cochran has been practicing landscape architecture in the San Francisco Bay area for over 25 years. She graduated from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and worked on the East Coast and in Europe before moving to California in 1981. After working in collaborative partnerships for over 10 years, she established Andrea Cochran Landscape Architecture, known for seamlessly integrating landscape, art, and architecture. The work of Andrea Cochran Landscape Architecture is distinguished by its careful attention to site, climate, and the choreography of experience.
