The Fabrication Shops provide both digital and analog equipment to manipulate wood, foam, plastics, masonry, metals, and composites. Our professional staff and student technicians are present at all times to demonstrate safe, efficient, and effective equipment use. On a case-by-case basis, we will either teach you how to use the machine on your own or operate it on your behalf.
Machines & Materials
Our analog machines are typically used for projects that involve woodworking, metalworking, or plastics.
Our digital machines are typically used for projects that involve plasma cutting, routing, or laser and 3D printing.
They can be used for making large and small-scale models, designed prototypes and products, furniture, graphic stencils, and metal parts.
Please note, if you want to use the CNC router you must reserve time and keep your reservation link. You will not have to operate the machine. Please talk to the staff about what you hope to use the CNC router for, and email your file to a staff member 24 hours before your scheduled time.
