2022 | Design for Youth: Equity and Opportunity

Design for Youth: Equity and Opportunity explores the design of equitable and nurturing environments for youth and families to replace and prevent youth detention. The culmination of a studio design project that took place over a three-year time span, the exhibition highlights the research process and resulting student projects.

Julia Robinson, PhD, FAIA, curated this exhibition in collaboration with research assistants, and UMN students participating in a three course series focused on expanding youth opportunities. Contributors include: Northside community project participants, Angela Cousins, Division Manager for the Hennepin County Dept of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation, Daniel Treinen from BWBR Architects, and Alysha Price from Price Dynamic, Community Consultant and Liaison.
