Five Ways to Make the Most of Your Fall Semester

August 8, 2019

Before you dive into the fall semester, take a look at our top five tips for starting your school year off right.

Meet your advisor. Your College of Design academic advisor is the first stop for anything affecting your academic experience. They can help answer questions about your program, the College of Design, or navigating college.

Take advantage of our College to Career programming. The College to Career Program connects students to professionals through activities including tours, portfolio critiques, networking opportunities, career panels, special events, and more.

Join a student organization. Meet new people, develop your leadership skills, and become an active part of the community when you join one of the many student organizations on campus.

Read the Undergraduate Update and College of Design e-newsletters. Learn about University and College of Design resources, events, and opportunities in these two e-newsletters. The Undergraduate Update is sent out every other Monday during the semester, while the College of Design newsletter is sent every Tuesday.

Follow the College of Design. Follow us on FacebookTwitterInstagram, or LinkedIn for event announcements, job opportunities, and up to date information on what’s going on at the college.

From advising to student clubs, the College of Design has plenty of programs and support services to help you get your school year off to a great start.
