Moda Italiana explored the appeal of Italian design for the American public from the mid 20th century to the 21st century. Italy has emerged as a dominant force in the design of furniture, clothing and household products. For the past fifty years, Italian design has exuded a unique, modern combination of color, pattern, comfort and style. As the Italian design centers moved from Venice to Rome to Florence to Milan, Americans followed, seeking to emulate the lifestyle evoked by this design.
