2001 | Finland Forward: Marimekko

Finland Forward focuses on Marimekko, the Finnish textiles and clothing company founded in 1951. The exhibition features fabric, apparel, accessories and objects of interior design featuring Marimekko's bold, geometric patterns, and strong bright colors. Marimekko gained prominence in both the U.S. and Europe in the 1960's and 1970s. Its mission is to design and manufacture high quality products which are aesthetically pleasing as well as functional.
