Inspired by architecture that is modern, public and local, Erginoğlu and Çalışlar continually seek to question and be informed by the contexts and elemental morphologies of their projects, working at both pragmatic and conceptual scales to link economy, construction and design.

Erginoğlu & Çalışlar Architects is an Istanbul based, independent firm of architects founded in 1993 by Hasan Çalışlar and Kerem Erginoğlu. The firm specializes in urban planning, architecture, and interior design with a diverse portfolio of national and international projects including an adaptive re-use design of a former salt repository in Istanbul's industrial Kasimpaşa neighborhood, which won the “New & Old Award” at the World Architecture Festival in Barcelona in 2010.

Inspired by architecture that is modern, public and local, Erginoğlu and Çalışlar continually seek to question and be informed by the contexts and elemental morphologies of their projects, working at both pragmatic and conceptual scales to link economy, construction and design.
