ABOUT THE PROJECT

Neurodiversity and specifically Autism Spectrum Conditions diagnosis have been on the rise for decades. Today, the rates of diagnosis along with estimates of undiagnosed individuals makes the needs of these communities irresponsible to ignore by the design community, especially when these needs reflect and amplify the needs of everyone. This project puts these considerations at the forefront and looks to downtown St. Paul as a possible site for the exploration of sensory and mental accessibility in urban design.
