ABOUT THE PROJECT

‘Growing Resilience' aims to address the challenge of strengthening food security and environmental sustainability in Macau's densely populated urban setting. Through the integration of urban agriculture practices such as community gardens, rooftop farms, and hydroponic vertical farms, the project seeks to leverage Macau's favorable climate and abundant rainfall to promote local food production. These efforts are complemented by the implementation of a sustainable rainwater irrigation system, enhancing the site's resilience to climate variability. With active community involvement, the project ensures that residents' dietary needs are met while fostering a greater sense of ownership and belonging among them.
