The Human Factors and Ergonomics minor is for graduate students interested in the enhancement of human performance through the design of tools, systems, working environments, processes, and organizations. With applications in everything from apparel and interior design, to reinventing business and health care processes, human factors and ergonomics is used in a wide range of professions.

Admissions & Requirements

High academic standing with a minimum 3.00 cumulative University of Minnesota GPA is preferred.

  • Masters students are required to take 9 credits to fulfill the minor.
  • Doctoral students are required to take 12 credits to fulfill the minor.

Students are held to the course requirements in place at the time of their admission. As requirements may change in the future, students should refer to their minor GPAS for the requirements applicable to them.
