Ecological Restoration Graduate Minor

About the minor

Students in the group S.O.I.L. (Student Objectives in Landscape) volunteer at Father Hennepin Park on the Mississippi Riverfront.

The Ecological Restoration minor is for graduate students interested in the design and management of natural lands, water management landscapes, landscape reclamation, and other types of restoration projects. Restoration, conservation, and ecological design projects have become increasingly important in the practice of landscape architecture and natural resource management. As a student in this minor, you will focus on the applied practice of restoration  with an emphasis on restoration management and design. You will also develop the skills necessary for completing successful restoration projects.
