Associate Professor in Practice, Architecture

Todd Grover is a partner at MacDonald and Mack Architects where they specialize in historic preservation. His involvement also includes the preservation of the recent past, trying to heighten the awareness and understanding of significant buildings that have not reached the 50-year threshold. He is also interested in sustainability and historic preservation, realizing the embodied energy available in existing buildings, but expanding on that to discover ways to make these buildings more energy efficient without disregarding their historic integrity.

Professional Experience

MacDonald and Mack Architects, Ltd., Minneapolis, MN

1997 - present

MacDonald and Mack Architects a full-services firm specializing in the preservation, restoration, and adaptive reuse of historic properties.  Their mission, with any building, is to respect and preserve the structure’s original significant, character–defining architectural details and integrity while making the necessary changes to keep it relevant and vital for modern use and the client’s specific program and goals. Their extensive experience and expertise go hand-in-hand: lessons learned and solutions created in one project inform subsequent projects. With more than 30 years of experience, they have become adept at handling projects of all scopes, sizes, and budgets from modest to substantial.
