LA 1202: Making the Mississippi

Representatives from community organizations associated with various locations along the urban riverfront presented to the class. Student teams chose one of three sites for a community planning and development project. The teams created a proposal, considered additional community partners, integrated precedents studied in class, and determined their own measurements of success. Students presented and submitted their final proposals to the community organizations or government agencies associated with their site. This Classroom Science Building team focused on the public realm connecting with the Mississippi River at the University of Minnesota.
