Want to get involved with KDI? Join us at an upcoming event or check back here for opportunities to join our cohort. Openings for scholarships, fellowships, graduate assistantships, and co-principal positions will be posted here when available.
The Kusske Design Initiative (KDI) seeks two tenure-stream faculty members to serve as co-principals for 2024–2025 and 2025–2026.
KDI co-principals collaborate in focusing, steering, and further developing the initiative. They ensure connections between KDI programming and CDes research and teaching. The co-principals contribute to cultivation of KDI themes; evolution of the initiative’s portfolio of scholarship and creative work; and identification of guest designers, researchers, and practitioners.
KDI co-principals are responsible for:
- Advancing the dialogue through design inquiries,
- Engaging and informing the KDI student cohort, and
- Contributing to program strategy and realization.
Each co-principal receives a support package of $50,000 per year, for a total award of $100,000. Supplemental support may be available for collaborative pursuits between the co-principals.
To learn more about this opportunity and requirements for expressions of interest, read the call announcement.
Expressions of interest should be sent via email to KDI Coordinator Alanna Nissen at [email protected] on or before December 8, 2023. Selected faculty will be notified in January 2024.
