Architecture Internships

Architecture Undergraduate Students (B.D.A. and B.S.)

In the architecture profession, the term “internship” typically refers to the Intern Development Program (IDP), which is the formal training required to become a licensed architect.

The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) has very specific conditions indicating when an architecture student may begin the IDP process.  For more information and to see if you qualify for IDP, visit the NCARB website.

For students who are not eligible to participate in IDP but who would like to gain related work experience, visit Career and Internship Services. The career staff can help you find information and resources about obtaining work experience in the field of architecture and design while you are an undergraduate student.
