Type of Work
Planning and design assistance: each participant is placed in a team that works closely with an assigned community organization.
Students, faculty, professionals, and community members collaborate though a design charette that addresses affordable housing and homelessness issues for local nonprofit organizations.
Eligible participants are College of Design students, faculty, and design professionals; eligible design recipients are nonprofit community organizations involved in housing and homelessness
Community Partners, Participants, and Clients
Recent organizations involved in the charette include Central Community Housing Trust, Mayflower Community Congregational Church, Ministry of Outreach, Asian Media Access, West Bank CDC, and American Indian Community Development Corporation.
