Fall 2015: ALL CDes majors are accepting transfer applications for fall term.
Priority Deadline - March 2, 2015. Applications are reviewed on a space available basis after this deadline. There is a chance a major may fill after reviewing the applications submitted by the priority deadline so you are encouraged to get your application in by this date.
Final Deadline - May 15, 2015
U of M students applying to the architecture BDA are held to the May 15, 2015 deadline. Students applying to the Arch BS have until May 31 to submit their admissions materials online.
Spring 2016: ALL CDes majors are accepting transfer applications for spring term except architecture bachelor of science (B.S.). Please note that while the programs admit for spring, studio sequencing for Pre-Architecture, Pre-Apparel, and Pre-Interior Design only begin in the fall term.
Priority Deadline - October 1, 2015. Applications are reviewed on a space available basis after this deadline. There is a chance a major may fill after reviewing the applications submitted by the priority deadline so you are encouraged to get your application in by this date.

We are hosting a special open house event where you can learn more about the College of Design at the U of M and why it’s one of the best places in the country to study the field of design. At this special event, you and your family will learn more about the college’s signature academic programs and unique opportunities while meeting with the people who make the College of Design a great place to be—its faculty, advisers, staff, and current students. Plus, you’ll hear more about College of Design transfer admission requirements and next steps. An optional tour of College of Design classrooms and facilities will be available after the event. Transferring as a degree-seeking student from outside the U of M system (including from CCE).

Students transferring from outside the U of M (or CCE non-degree) will be notified by postal mail. Students transferring from within the U of M system will be notified via EMAIL to their U of M email account. If you don't remember how to access your U of M email account call 612-301-4357.
College of Design domestic transfer students are automatically considered for a transfer scholarship based on an overall assessment of their admissions application. International students are automatically considered for the Global Excellence Scholarship based on an overall assessment of their admissions application. Students will be notified by mail if they are offered a scholarship.
