The W.L. Hall Workshop is supported entirely by CDES collegiate fees and is exclusively available to CDES students, faculty and staff for the completion of CDES academic and collegiate work.

In consultation with the University of Minnesota’s Office of Risk Management it has been determined that use of the W.L. Hall Workshop for non-academic purposes exposes the University to unnecessary risk and does not advance the mission of the University or the College of Design. All shop use must be directly related to CDES courses or activities. Any shop use requiring an exception to this policy requires prior approval by Kevin Groenke, Manager, W.L. Hall Workshop.
