MAKE A GIFT TO CDES
There are many ways to direct your gift to help the programs of your choice in the college. You may give an unrestricted gift or designate your gift for a specific purpose. You may also establish an endowment fund or contribute to an existing one. And you can make an outright gift, fulfill a pledge over time, or consider a gift in conjunction with your financial and estate planning.
However you decide to designate your gift, there are many options for making a gift that will benefit the college and that may have financial benefits for you as well. Some of these are:
Donors who wish to support the college can designate the College of Design in their online contribution through the University of Minnesota Foundation.
If you would like to discuss your gift, or find out more about the College of Design's current needs, you may contact Sue Danielson Bretheim at 612-624-1386 or email@example.com or Peter Rozga at 612-624-7808 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Donors may choose to put their gift to work for ongoing needs or establish permanent funds that endow programs in perpetuity. Endowed funds are often named for the donor or someone of the donor's choice. Minimum thresholds for endowments are set by the University of Minnesota Foundation (currently $25,000). Some donors find that establishing endowments through estate or other future gifts can help them achieve their philanthropic goals.
Gifts of $25,000 or more that are designated for graduate fellowships may be eligible for matching funds through the University. College representatives can provide additional information about these funds. Your company or your spouse's company may have a program that matches your gift to higher education; check with your personnel office.

Donors (individuals and couples) whose cumulative lifetime giving has reached at least $25,000 are eligible to become members of the Presidents Club. Donors who make planned gifts are eligible for membership in the Heritage Society. The University of Minnesota also recognizes annual gifts of $1,000 and $2,500 with membership in the Maroon and Gold Clubs.
