Retail Merchandising Minor

The retail merchandising minor is for undergraduate students majoring in aspects of business, clothing design, or liberal arts who are also interested in retail. This is an excellent opportunity for students to be able to integrate retail issues into their studies.

Admission Requirements:

You must be in good academic standing with a minimum 2.00 cumulative University of Minnesota GPA.

Program Requirements:

  • This minor requires a minimum of 15 credits.
  • All coursework must be taken on the A/F grade base and be completed with a C- or better.
  • All required prerequisite coursework must be completed prior to enrolling in a class.
  • Study abroad and transfer coursework must be approved by the minor advisor.
  • No more than one transfer course may be used toward the minor.
  • Transfer coursework may be accepted for prerequisite courses upon review; this is not included in the one course limit.
