This service supports college faculty, staff, and students by providing technologies and technology-enhanced spaces to support teaching and learning.
The University's central IT unit provides courses and media production services, instructional design, and enterprise-wide academic technologies. Questions or support in these areas should be directed to OIT's Technology Help Service Desk as the first point of contact.
Examples of support that College of Design IT offers under this service include:
- Maintaining multiple labs and classrooms with approximately 200 computers and around 200+ open hours per week.
- Designing and implementing mobile screens in support of class review and critique processes.
- Implementing a videoconferencing solution for Rapson and McNeal halls to improve collaboration and reduce travel time.
- Modernizing learning spaces initiative to improve Rapson and McNeal spaces for purposes of learning and teaching.
